Stone for streets, squares and gardens

Landscaping stone defines routes, borders planting areas and gives public spaces their character. Colour, shape and surface finish are considered as one design.

We manufacture to drawings and agreed dimensions. Thickness and finish are selected to suit the structure, loading and conditions of use.

Kerbs

Granite kerbs define carriageways, footways and other paved areas. We manufacture straight and curved kerbs with R, V and LR profiles to project drawings.

Types: Straight and curved · R / V / LR
Dimensions: Common widths: 170, 220 and 300 mm; height, length and radius as ordered

Setts and cubes

Small granite setts are approximately cubic; large setts are rectangular. Machine-split and dimensioned sawn units are used for streets, squares and courtyards. Finish and construction are selected for traffic and accessibility requirements.

Small setts: 50 × 50 × 50 / 90 × 90 × 90 / 140 × 140 × 140 mm
Large setts: 220 × 140 × 140 / 220 × 140 × 80 mm
Finish: Flamed, bush-hammered or split; exposed surfaces agreed when ordering
Note: Example sizes from Helsinki guidance. Split units have greater dimensional variation than dimensioned products; tolerances are agreed separately.

Granite paving slabs

Sawn natural stone paving slabs for footways, squares and entrances. Slab layout, thickness, joints and bedding are designed together. Outdoor walking surfaces receive an appropriately textured finish.

Solid stone and seating blocks

Solid granite blocks for seating, vehicle barriers and spatial boundaries. Dimensions, edge detailing, exposed faces and anchoring are defined in the project drawings.

Other landscaping products

Special landscape stone components complement paving and edging. We manufacture drainage channels, step and planter components, and tactile guidance and warning slabs in natural stone to project drawings.

OK Graniitti carried out the shopping centre’s courtyard works. The original project post identifies Arctic Red, Oulainen Black and Pekkala Pink as the stones used.

Oulainen Black paving slabs and walls. The bush-hammered finish connects the horizontal surfaces and stone structures into one design.

Finish samples

Different finishes can be compared on the same stone. A sample helps assess colour depth, texture and feel before selecting the material.
